Everyday Life Personal Ramblings

Hello 2016

So here we are again; we’ve welcomed in another year, embraced it like an old friend and shook it by its hand; stared at it in wide eyed wonder and tried to guess what secrets it has in store for us. I love this time of year; everything feels shiny and new, people are fuelled by positivity and resolutions for the year ahead, and everything just feels…..possible.

Last year I blogged 12 times: that’s one blog post a month. Only it isn’t, because some months I blogged a few times and other months I didn’t post anything at all, so basically it was another year where I attempted to try and squeeze something else into my life that I didn’t really have time for.

This year will be different though (please see top paragraph where I use the words: shiny, new, positivity and resolutions). Because this year, I’m getting organised; I’m planning in advance my friends, which is something I should have done last year – but didn’t. As the saying goes, ‘failure to plan, is planning to fail’ (other clichéd quotes are also available).

I’m not going to be unrealistic and shout from the roof tops that I’m planning to blog every day; no, that would be setting myself up for failure. I’ll be blogging once a week to start off with, and after couple of months if things are going to plan and time allows I will increase it to twice a week.

Last year, I was so disorganised and on the last minute with everything, I felt like I was running around with my hair on fire; there was no calmness to anything. This year is going to be pretty full on and I know that in order to do everything that I have planned, there needs to be some kind of organisation in place.

There’s a bit of a backlog with posts from last year, so over the coming weeks/months I’ll be sharing a variety of trips and days out from the last 6 months or so. I’ll also be varying the content this coming year and including a variety of other topics that are close to my heart.

For now though, I hope you’re all pumped up, full of positivity and ready to tackle the shiny year that lies ahead!
